CALISTOGA WAYSIDE INN

The gardens surrounding the Inn, a 1928 Mediterranean-style architectural showplace, hold an array of flowers, herbs, fountains, waterfalls and lush greenery.

The main floor bedroom, with a king-size bed, overlooks the gardens through the panorama of plantation windows. Upstairs, the king-size bedroom has French doors opening onto a view from its private balcony of the front gardens. Another upstairs bedroom features a queen-size, four-poster bed and French windows looking out onto a red tile roof and the gardens below.

All rooms have private baths, robes and slippers and personalized soaps. Included are a sumptuous breakfast, afternoon cheese and wine from local wineries, and late evening sherry and sweets.
