During Arts in April join Mike Geno, food artist and food fanatic, in a hands-on workshop painting your own still life of cheese. Each student will receive a canvas, acrylic paint, and brush as Mike guides you to paint your own Artisan cheese masterpiece to display at home. No previous painting experience necessary.

Mike’s studio focus is most often aimed at recreating the same hunger-inducing attraction with paint that he finds most appetizing in his food models. Mike is best known for his ongoing series of “cheese portraits”. His use of paint through color and surface texture becomes a translation of the artisan cheese that makes one consider licking the painting itself.

Mike’s artwork will be displayed and available for sale at the winery through April. A wine tasting of St. Supéry Estate wines paired with local Artisan cheese concludes your fun afternoon.
