Welcome
We welcome you to experience over a century of history and winemaking with us in St. Helena. These stone walls homed the first female winemaker in the Napa Valley, renowned Thomas Church gardens and now 4th and 5th generation winemakers William and Cole. William Ballentine, owner and winemaker, is dedicated to crafting high quality wines. A dominant theme in William’s life, even from an early age, has been tending to the grapes and making wine. Building his legacy that has been passed down from his father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He has rebuilt the 1873 ghost winery and welcomes collectors to visit by appointment.
We offer various private tasting experiences 7 days a week.
Featuring

Hand Crafted Wines
William believes the timing of everything, in the creation of our wine, is based on taste. There is no predetermined schedule for the wine. Each of our wine lots mature separately, which results in a complex, elegant wine that represents the best of Napa Valley. We are proud to be able to complete the whole process, from the growing of the grapes, making of the wine, hand-bottling, and packaging in-house.

Historic Building
Indulge in the rich history of the property located just north of downtown St. Helena. The stone winery was built in 1873 and is on the National Historic Registry. Hannah Weinberger, the first female winemaker in the Napa Valley made wine on property up until the doors were shut from prohibition.

Meet the Winemakers
William and Cole are there almost everyday and take joy in meeting our guests. Ask them questions about harvest, winemaking practices or even just life in general. Their knowledge of Napa Valley, winemaking and farming is unparalleled and they make you feel at home in their home.
