Join filmmaker and cookbook author Sri Rao as he takes you on a sensory journey through India. Sri’s debut cookbook, Bollywood Kitchen: Home-Cooked Indian Meals Paired with Unforgettable Bollywood Films, does just that: pairs Indian meals with contemporary Bollywood films.
Sri will explore how Bollywood films and home-cooked Indian meals gave him a glimpse into Indian culture as a boy growing up in rural western Pennsylvania. During the event, we’ll screen a clip from a Bollywood film, and Sri will create a meal that pairs with it.
The fun doesn’t stop there. As quoted in his book, “Welcome to Bollywood, a land where everyone travels with backup dancers.” Sri will be joined by Doonya: The Bollywood Workout, who will lead an energetic dance class at the end of the event.
