Oakland-based designer Melanie Abrantes has built an impressive career turning simple pieces of wood and cork into beautiful and functional household staples such as bowls, plates and cutlery.
The Calistoga Motor Lodge & Spa is thrilled to welcome Melanie to the hotel on Saturday, March 9 at 10 am for a special maker’s workshop in which guests will carve their own heirloom butter knives.
RSVP required to attend. $45 gets you in! No experience necessary and all materials will be provided. (They’ll have hot cider to warm you while you carve!)
