A special community screening of CAN’T LOOK AWAY: The Case Against Social Media offers a compelling look at the hidden dangers of social media and its impact on youth mental health. Presented by the Michael Leonardi Foundation in partnership with the Jarvis Conservatory, the documentary explores how harmful algorithms exploit attention, amplify risk, and contribute to a growing mental health crisis among young users.
Directed by Matthew O’Neill and Perri Peltz, and based on investigative reporting by Olivia Carville of Bloomberg News, the film follows families seeking accountability and meaningful reform.
