Festival Napa Valley presents a magical evening at Charles Krug Winery with a special live-to-film performance of Walt Disney’s original Fantasia (1940). Widely regarded as one of the greatest animated films of all time, Fantasia blends classical music with groundbreaking animation, introducing audiences to timeless works like Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals, Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite, and Dukas’ The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, featuring Mickey Mouse.
This unique screening is accompanied by Festival Orchestra Napa, conducted by Ming Luke, bringing the film’s beloved score to life in real time. As Disneyland celebrates its 70th anniversary, this event honors a cinematic and musical masterpiece that continues to enchant audiences of all ages. Head to RD Winery for their 5th Annual Summer Moon Festival—a lively celebration filled with community, culture, and great wine. Enjoy the debut of their newest release, the Hundred Knot Grüner Veltliner, while mingling with friends and the welcoming RD Winery team.
The afternoon features music by DJ Scott Myer of A Skip a Beat Productions and a special performance by the Flying Angels, a Chinese fan dance company. Local favorite Annie’s Lunch Box will be serving delicious food, available for purchase. Tickets include wine and entertainment. Please note, no outside food or beverages are allowed.
Festival Napa Valley’s 2025 Summer Season concludes at Charles Krug with a spectacular symphonic performance led by renowned conductor Stéphane Denève. Festival Orchestra Napa brings Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream to life with highlights including the whimsical Scherzo, dreamy Nocturne, and the iconic Wedding March. The concert is enhanced by original artwork inspired by the music, created by students and seniors in the Festival’s year-round How I See Music workshops.
The program also features Prokofiev’s powerful Romeo and Juliet Suite, a dramatic orchestral interpretation of Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy. This unforgettable finale blends music and visual art to celebrate the emotional depth and storytelling power of classical works, closing the Festival on a truly magical note.
