Blending music and film curated by the National Geographic Society, the program pairs Romantic-era songs by Edvard Grieg, Franz Liszt, Gabriel Fauré, and Reynaldo Hahn with contemporary works by Nico Muhly, Caroline Shaw, and Kevin Puts, exploring nature as both inspiration and consequence of human impact.

The program also features a world premiere by John Corigliano, performed by rising violinists Hina and Fiona.
